HIM Specialist

The Health Information Management Specialist is responsible for performing analysis of Inpatient, Observation, ED (Emergency Department), Outpatient SDC (Surgical Day Center), Endoscopy, and Pain Management records to ensure the quality and completeness of clinical documentation as required by CMS Conditions of Participation. The HIM Specialist will prep and scan paper documents to incorporate into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. The position includes responsibility for processing requests for Release of Information in accordance with HIPAA privacy laws.
